Test the keyboard navigation

  • Are you able to get into your public dashboard using a keyboard?

  • Would a user know the keyboard strokes (are they standard strokes)?

  • Is the tab order correct? (the order you move from one visual to the next)

  • If you used a keyboard and not a mouse, could you get all the same information and functionality?

Test your dashboards with a screen reader

  • Install a screen reader. If you use google chrome, you can easily . If you are using Windows 10 you can use the built in Narrator application.

  • Using your keyboard with the screen reader, can you get all the same information and functionality a sighted user has access to?

Test your dashboards on your phone

  • Can you read the data and understand the key trends?

  • Can you interact with the dashboard easily?

  • Are any filters, buttons, or graphs too tiny to read or press?
