3. Complete data inventory template

Fill out the template and send it back to DataSF!

As you are brainstorming, begin to fill out the template below to record your datasets:

• Create a copy of the Data Inventory Template ("Dataset Inventory" tab)

• We have an example Data Inventory here

As a reminder, you can refer to the Data Inventory Schema page to understand what all the fields mean.

It is often easier to just fill out the Name and Description fields first, then go back later and fill in the rest of the information
